Health & Safety Protocols

In conjunction with the Eagle County Health Department and Dobson Ice Arena, the following procedures must be followed for any skater participating in SCV’s contract ice for the foreseeable future:

 CHECK-IN/ARRIVAL PROCEDURES

  • Skaters will check-in with the front desk staff and be assigned a staging area.  Please practice proper social distancing while you wait.

  • If this is your first session, please make sure you bring your full payment for SCV.  Skaters will NOT be admitted without paying for sessions ahead of time.

  • Skaters must come ready to skate.  Staging areas shall only be used to put on skates, exterior apparel or equipment.  Locker rooms, if accessible, will be left open so there will be no private changing areas.  There are no areas inside or outside the building for stretching/warm-up.

  • Skaters will be admitted to the rink 10 minutes prior to start time, and directed to their designated staging area.

  • Face coverings are REQUIRED for entering and exiting the building.

RINK USAGE

  • Skaters must keep all gear in their designated staging area.  Please ensure that your area is neat and tidy.

  • Face coverings are REQUIRED on the ice.  Skaters will need to abide by social distancing guidelines both on and off the ice.

  • Skaters are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.  Water fountains will not be available but the water bottle fill station will still be in operation.

  • Skaters may not share water bottles, tissues, etc.

  • Player benches, penalty boxes and scorer’s box will be off limits.  Only coaches may use the west penalty box, one at a time, to control music.

  • SCV coaches will advise skaters of any additional on-ice protocols to ensure proper distancing.

  • Bathrooms will be accessible for use.

DEPARTURE PROCEDURES

  • Skaters will have 10 minutes to change out of their skates before exiting the building.

  • All personal equipment must be taken from the arena.  Skaters may not leave anything behind for a later date.

  • All skaters and staff will exit through the upper, west doors.

  • SCV coaches will assist to ensure skaters are following exit protocols.

  • Skaters will NOT be allowed re-entry once they leave the building.

PARENTS/SPECTATORS

  • Spectators are currently allowed in the Arena

  • Face coverings and social distancing are required

We appreciate your adherence to the above protocols so that we can safely and successfully get back on the ice.  Be advised, however, anyone who cannot comply with the above protocols may be asked to leave and/or not permitted to participate in the future.  Thank you!
