Join the Skating Club of Vail (SCV) and enjoy multiple benefits, including exclusive ice time and special programming to pursue your love of figure skating! Being an SCV member allows a skater to take tests governed by the United States Figure Skating Association (USFSA) and to participate in sanctioned competitions and other skating events. FULL MEMBERSHIP

This category is for any member who intends to compete or who has started testing and skates at pre-preliminary or above; also for the non-competitive skater that has completed 2 membership years with SCV. All skaters under the age of 18 who compete and test must have one parent/legal guardian join as a “Supporting Membership”.  Skaters over age 18 or Supporting Members of this class may vote in general elections, serve on the board, and also are eligible for scholarships after one year.

Family Additional FULL MEMBERSHIP

This category is for any sibling that is in the same household as a Full Member.  A sibling who intends to compete or who has started testing and skates at pre-preliminary or above. 

Annual Rate: $90.00 per Sibling

Introductory - 1st Year

This is a one-year, non-renewable membership for skaters who have never been a member of a figure skating club before and have not tested (USFSA basic skills tests excepted).  This member may compete but may not - test, apply for SCV’s Scholarships or vote in SCV’s general election.  The skater can be any age and does not require a parent to join. 

Annual Rate: $70.00

Introductory - 2nd Year

This is a one-year, non-renewable membership for skaters who have previously been an Introductory - 1st-year member of The Skating Club of Vail or another skating club and have not tested (USFSA basic skills tests excepted).  This member may compete as a Skating Club of Vail member but may not - test, apply for SCV’s Scholarships or vote in SCV’s general elections. 

Annual Rate: $90.00

Supporting Membership

This is for non-skaters who wish to participate in The Skating Club of Vail activities.  This membership is required for at least one parent of any skater under the age of 18 years old.  Supporting members may not compete, test, or apply for scholarships.  Members of this class who are 18 years of age or older may vote in SCV’s general elections, serve on the Board and hold office.  This class does not include USFSA membership.  

Annual Rate: $25.00

Collegiate Membership

This is a four-year, non-renewable membership for college-bound and college students.  Members of this class may compete and test, but are not eligible for scholarships.  This class may not vote in SCV’s general elections, and may not serve on the board. Volunteering is appreciated if participating in either a show or competition.

Rate: $100.00

Professional Membership

This is for coaches who teach on SCV’s club ice.  Coaches must be registered, background checked and CER compliant in accordance with USFSA requirements. They also must be a member of the Professional Skaters Association (PSA) and hold a liability insurance policy.  PSA membership and Proof of Insurance must be on file with SCV. Members of this class who are 18 years of age or older may vote in SCV’s general elections, and may serve on the Board as a coach representative. Anyone interested in joining as a Professional Member needs to contact the SCV Board at scvclubinfo@gmail.com.

Annual Rate: $70.00

REGIONAL MEMBERSHIP

This is for those whose primary affiliation is with another USFSA club.  This membership is for skaters that wish to test and/or participate in SCV’s club ice.  Skaters must be in good standing with U. S. Figure Skating.  This member is not eligible to vote in SCV’s general elections, apply or receive scholarships.  If a Regional Member wishes to choose the Skating Club of Vail for their home club, they may do so for an additional $50.00 fee plus a one-time transfer fee of $50.00.  Volunteering is appreciated if participating in SCV’s Ice Show, VI competition, exhibitions or clinics

TRANSFER FEE

There is a one-time transfer fee of $50.00 charged by USFSA for transfer between clubs.
